Criunniú na nÓg

We had a fantastic day celebrating Cruinniú na nÓg recently and the children really enjoyed it. First, they were treated to a fantastic bubble and fire show and then the children got to enjoy a yummy ice-cream from the ice-cream van.

Fundraiser

World Book Day 2019
We are getting ready here in St Oliver’s school for World Book Day. We will be celebrating one of favourite stories ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’.

Sponsored flowers
Rory Murphy, of Murphy’s Garden Centre kindly sponsored a donation of flowers to the school. All the children participated in planting the flowers, and they have really made the school look its best. He kindly posed for a few photos with some of our mini-gardeners, and a thank you card, which was made by the children, was presented to him. Rory also teaches yoga as an extra curricular activity to the children at school, and he is very popular among the children! Thank you Murphy’s Garden Centre!
VHI Ladies Mini Marathon
Some members of staff took part in the ladies mini marathon in Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend. They kindly raised funds for the school. Thanks to the girls and to everyone who supported them. Well done ladies, you did the school proud!

St. Oliver’s Annual Fun Run took place in April, and was yet again a big success. Thank you to everyone who took part on the day, helped out behind the scenes and contributed to the fundraiser. A grand total of €8853.90 was raised. Your support is greatly appreciated. From all the children, staff, and greater St. Oliver’s community, thank you!

These are work task boxes that help teach independence and other skills to students with special needs and autism. This is a huge boost to the school, and we are extremely grateful to the students and teachers in the Presentation for their kind donation.
