Welcome to Class 1 Early Intervention Class at St Oliver’s. This year we welcome back Lilly, Kyle and Brajan and our new addition Daniel. Keep checking in here on our website to follow the busy goings on of Class 1


Happy Valentines Day Everyone and Happy Spring. This term we have been horse riding and have really enjoyed it. We have been working on all things Spring here in class 1 and here are some pictures of our work.

We have been busy growing water cress, peas and carrots.


Happy New Year Everyone. Its been back to business here in class 1 after our rest at Christmas. We have recommenced our Health Promoting Schools campaign for our flag. This month our fruit and veg are Bananas and Red Peppers. We deliver them to the classes each morning for the children to try out. We have also been getting plenty of exercise both inside and out.

We have been learning all about our families.


Happy Christmas Everyone. We had a super Christmas Party at Go Bananas where we visited Santa Claus and received presents. We also had a lovely day out to the Christmas market in Galway and had a go on the merry go round.


The weather is colder this month so we are learning about winter clothes wearing our hats, scarves and gloves. We have been feeding the birds in the garden especially our robin Oliver who visits daily. We have been doing the numbers six to ten and reading the story Snow Bear. We have been learning the letters f and b. Phillida our creative arts associate came and did a workshop on nature where we had great fun with leaves.


Happy Halloween everybody. We had great fun reading our story Room on a Broom and exploring our pumpkin. We have been revising the number 3 . The weather is getting colder so we went to the pet shop and bought some feed for the birds.

October 3rd Tetra Tree Planting Day


This month we have been working on the theme of Autumn, taking lots of nature walks and learning about trees, leaves and hedgehogs. The weather has been pretty good so having lots of fun outside with bubbles and in the gross motor garden. This year we are learning how to look after our bodies by washing our face and brushing our teeth.
